Common questions about Zeller

The same questions UK merchants ask before signing up.

  • Zeller POS Lite is free to use, at £0/mo (POS Lite). There is no monthly software subscription; you only pay a card transaction fee when you take a payment. POS Lite comes built in to every Zeller Terminal.

  • Zeller charges a flat 1.3% on in-person domestic Visa and Mastercard payments, with no monthly fee. American Express and international or business cards are 1.99%, and manually keyed (MOTO) payments are 1.5%.

  • Zeller Terminal hardware is a one-off purchase: Terminal 1x £99 / Terminal 2 £149 (excl VAT). Each terminal includes the free Zeller POS Lite, with no monthly rental fees and no lock-in contract.

  • Yes. Zeller includes a free Zeller Business Account and a free business debit card. Card takings settle same-day into that account, or the next business day to any other UK bank.

  • Yes. Zeller integrates natively with Xero, pushing sales and transaction data across for reconciliation. The integration is built in rather than relying on a third-party connector.

  • Zeller Terminal is a card machine with a free built-in POS (POS Lite) covering an item library, categories, discounts and basic reporting. It suits lower-complexity retail and hospitality; businesses needing advanced inventory or table management should pair Zeller payments with a dedicated POS platform.
