Strengths and trade-offs

Pros

  • Flat price with no allowance to exceed and no overage to pay
  • Genuine local rate card per country, not a converted US price
  • 24/7 answering, custom greetings and outbound calling on the base plan
  • Use a Clara number as a second line, or forward your existing one

Cons

  • Publishes no way to put a live caller through to a person on either purchasable plan
  • No published appointment booking
  • The vendor reserves the right to introduce caps later
  • Its Teams tier, the only plan that mentions call routing, is not yet purchasable

About Clara

Clara is genuinely flat. There is no included allowance and no overage rate on any plan, and its Fair Usage Policy says why in its own words: "We do not currently enforce fixed numeric caps." What the higher tier buys is business-trained AI, automated text follow-ups, personal contact exclusion and priority support, not more capacity.

It publishes a separate rate card per locale, in pounds for the UK and dollars for the US, so a buyer is quoted in their own currency rather than a converted one. There is no Australian locale. A Teams tier is advertised as coming soon and is not purchasable, so it is not listed here.
