We track 16 HR software providers in the United Kingdom: 10 with a published price and 6 quoting on request. Every price below comes from the vendor's own pricing page as our records stood on 1 Oct 2026, and this page will not be updated as those prices change.
How many HR software providers publish a price?
A provider counts as publishing a price when its pricing page gives enough to estimate a monthly bill without contacting sales. One that shows a headline or starting rate and quotes for the rest is counted as quoting on request. On that test, 63% of this market can be priced without asking.

What does HR software cost in the United Kingdom?
Estimated monthly bill at each business size in the table, from the same cost engine as our live comparison table. Providers that quote on request are left out; an unknown price is never counted as zero.

How we compiled this report
Prices come from vendors' own pricing pages only, never from review sites or directories, and no commercial relationship with a vendor changes a figure here. Definitions, limitations and corrections: how we compile these reports.
Conclusion
A five-person business in the United Kingdom can already be paying £200 a month for HR software. The published per-employee fee tops out at £8.10 and the base fee at £30, so that figure is a minimum monthly charge rather than a headcount price: six providers publish one, from £21 to £200, payable however few staff are on the books. The modelled range for a five-person team is nothing to £200, with a median of £26.
Ten of the sixteen providers publish an HR price we can cost; the other six quote on request. Among the ten, the spread opens as the business grows. At twenty-five employees the range is £21.67 to £205, about 9.5 times between cheapest and dearest, with a median of £104. At a hundred it is £47.57 to £810, about 17 times, with a median of £415.50.
The Employer of Record figures, £148.67 to £522.22 a month per person from five providers, cover staff employed abroad through a third party and should not be read against the subscription prices above.
For a business of five people that intends to be far larger, the hundred-person row is the one to price now. The small-team figures say almost nothing about the bill at scale.
